New Dew Claw Store – http://www.zazzle.com/dewclawkennels
With MUSH THANKS to the amazing graphic & web design team at IronThorn Designs I am pleased to announce that Dew Claw Kennel has a New Online Store! This is something we have wanted for some time, but time has also been the problem. Although I had a idea for what I wanted, I currently lack the technical skill and expertise to actually do it.** And that is where Dave and Jessica at IronThorn stepped in and made it happen. With their help Dew Claw Store now has a clean new look, more options, new products, and choices for you to customize your products.
In addition to some great kids clothes, updated styles for adults, and a wonderful new variation on the sleeping dog Dew Claw logo, we are especially happy with the coffee mug collection featuring the beautiful dogs of Dew Claw. You can read about each of the dogs in the product details. As well as choose a larger size (highly recommended for the caffeine dependent) and an accent color.
We felt this would be a fun way for people to support Team Dew Claw. Although we do not technically have a ‘sponsor a dog’ program, we know many of our friends have a favorite Dew Claw dog. Now you can show your support for the whole team, and enjoy some coffee (or tea or coco if that’s your thing) with your favorite team member. Proceeds from each mug goes directly to support the Dew Claw dogs on the trail to Nome.
Team Mugs & Team Buttons or Dew Claw Logo Mugs
Thanks to the generous assistance of Team Dew Claw members Marlys Sauer and Kirstie McGuinness the Dew Claw dogs were photographed by talented photographer and mastermind behind the book “Born to Run – Athletes of the Iditarod” Albert Lewis for use in kennel projects. Now I know we do no have a mug for every race dog… yet. We will be working to get quality photographs of the additional dogs.
Again, none of this would have happened if I had not reached out for help. I know at times that can be the hardest thing to do, to admit you need help. But as always I am so glad I did. And if you are wanting someone to help make your online ideas technical realities; you need to email my friends at IronThorn and let them know what your vision is (doesn’t matter if you know the techie terms for what you want to accomplish or not, they speak human) sky’s the limit, and you never know unless you ask/try/do it.
*oh and on that note, I am open to suggestions for specific products you would like to purchase at the Dew Claw Store. Have fun shopping!
**Not saying that I couldn’t do it… Cause I tend to be one of those crazy people who kinda thinks that if it can be done I could do it. But I am not Totally delusional. I recognize that just because something Can be done doesn’t mean you will not have to work your butt off, learn new skills, invest time and energy – often to great extent, face and overcome failure, and so on. And the reality is, for me & Dan right now all that is going to the dogs.
This is why it was such a great thing to be able to work with people who had already done these things and more in the area of digital graphics and web design. Thanks again to IronThorn
